Before and After

BEFORE the bath........
AFTER the bath.........

Sawyer loves to help comb his hair and imitates the motion of rubbing your hands together to put on lotion. He is also now very facinated with everything on his changing table. He wants to get into the diapers, wipes, lotions, and everything else on his table. It makes changing clothes and diapers very hard!! He wont sit still!!! And now he has been trying to actually stand up on his changing pad. He just cannot sit still!

"Mama"

Sawyer greeted me with the sweetest words today, both when he woke up this morning and when he woke up from his morning nap. He was standing in the crib and when I walked in, he greeted me with "mama!". So sweet. I had to document the occasion with a few pictures.

So Happy

Sawyer is such a happy boy. We are so lucky! He is seriously the happiest baby I have ever seen! He is always smiling and laughing. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks. Sawyer smiling so big

This is one of Sawyers FAVORITE places to hang out.....by the windowsill looking into the backyard. He loves it when the dogs are running around the back yard and on the back porch. One of his favorite words to say is "dog", although sometimes it sounds like "gog". But he seriously says it 50 times a day.

He likes to talk and yell to the dogs. Here he is midway through a yell to them!

One of his other favorite things to do is play with his basketball. He says "ball" over and over.

He also loves to play with the Wii remotes and Wii games.
He is so funny!

Summer is over!

Sawyer had Tucker come over to play today, since both of their mommies have to go back to work next week. Summer is over! It went by too fast! The boys had fun playing, they sure had fun emptying out the toy chest! Thanks Kinsey and Tucker for coming over! It was so much fun!

YUM!

Sawyer is enjoying all of the big boy foods he gets to eat now. He no longer takes a bottle and is almost done nursing. He drinks milk, juice and water from a sippy cup and has 3 regular meals a day, plus 1 or 2 snacks. He has eaten EVERYTHING I have given him, with the exception of 2 things- I thinly spread some prunes on his toast one morning and he did not care for that too much, and one night I gave him cut up broccoli with a little cheese sauce and he did not care for that. He promptly fed the broccoli to the dogs, lol. But he has been SO GOOD about eating everything! I am so proud of him! Here he is last week after finishing off some ravioli.
He likes to finger paint with the sauce.

What a mess!

Pointing. He points at everything!

Sad, because he wants more food!

Happy, because I gave him some Gerber Cheese Puffs.

Famous People

This week I got to spend some time with somebody really famous! I got to meet Thayne from last season of So You Think You Can Dance. For you non-dancers, you may not know who he is, but for anyone who is a fan of SYTYCD, you definately do! He was also in High School Musical 1 & 2. He came to Lifesong to teach at our Summer Intensive this week. I was lucky enough to get to share 3 different meals with him (Amalias in Southlake, Subway, and Cheesecake Factory!), and we had some great conversation, mostly consisting of me asking him lots of questions, and him answering them! He was so friendly, and totally cool about answering all of my questions. He told me lots of awesome behind the scenes info from the show. It was awesome! He is probably coming back next summer to teach again! How cool is that???

Standing All Day Long

Sawyer has been working on his standing skills. He stands up and sits down all day long. He is getting so good at it. I know he will be walking any day now!

He also points at EVERYTHING!!!!

I have a feeling I will be posting about his first steps any day now!!!
