Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
Sawyer spent the day with me at Texas Stadium today. My students are performing with the Jonas Brothers for the Thanksgiving Halftime, so we had to rehearse all day today. I decided to take Sawyer to meet the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. I have a few friends who are cheerleaders, and I knew they would want to meet him and I was hoping to get some pictures. When I approached the group of cheerleaders, I didnt immediately see any of my friends, I just asked the first few cheerleaders that I saw if they would be willing to take a picture with him. They started oohing and ahhing over him and pretty soon all the cheerleaders were crowded around him, taking turns holding him, and just loving on him. It was so precious. Sawyer was facinated with the cheerleader's blue and silver pom poms. He grabbed onto one and wouldnt let go. It was so cute. All of the cheerleaders thought he was so cute. They wanted to keep taking turns holding him, but they got called to go down to the field. My friends Sarah, Trisha and Crystal all took a picture with him as well as some other cheerleaders. It was a really neat experience that I know he will appreciate when he is older! How often do you get the World Famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders to oooh and ahhh over you like that?

Household Updates
Lots of things have been going on in our household lately.
For our Christmas Gift from my parents (Kathy and Ed), they paid to have the outside of our house painted. What a wonderful gift! I chose to have the trim and siding painted in a pretty creme Organza color. I really love it! I also had the front door painted a pretty shade of green. It used to be a more Christmasy green and now it is a lighter, more modern green. The house looks great! Its amazing what a coat of paint will do! It makes it look like a new house!
We put our Christmas tree up this week. We bought a new tree from Garden Ridge. We sold the tree that we previously had in our garage sale before we moved. We bought a 7 1/2 foot pre-lit tree with colored lights. It looks really nice in our living room. I have spent all week decorating the tree. In the past I have always used white lights and all silver decorations. Now I have decided to make it a fun, family, colorful tree with all different family ornaments. My mom got out some of my ornaments from my childhood and I put some of them on there. Plus, I put all of the ornaments that Aaron and I have collected since we have gotten married. The only thing missing is an angel for the top of the tree. We had a white and silver angel, but since our tree now has colored lights, our angel does not match. I will be looking for a new angel that is bright and beautiful and will look great on the top of our tree. I am sure I will find something I like, its just a matter of getting to the store to pick it out!
We will spend this Sunday doing an early Thanksgiving with my side of the family. We will spend the actual Thanksgiving Day with Aaron's side of the family. For the past 10 years or so, I have spent Thanksgiving at the Dallas Cowboys game. My students always perform at the halftime. This year, one of my company instructors will be taking the girls to the game for me. Since I have Sawyer now, I really want to spend his first Thanksgiving with him. When he gets older, we can probably take him to the Cowboys game with us. I will be bringing him to Texas Stadium on Wednesday to the halftime rehearsal. I have several friends that are Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and I want to get his picture taken with them. Hopefully the weather will be nice and it wont be too cold.
Well, we hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are thankful for everything we have, especially our wonderful baby boy. He makes every day wonderful.

What a big boy!
Sawyer is growing into such a big boy! He grows up more every day! Below is a picture of him wearing big boy shoes for the first time. What a cutie! He loves playing on his Baby Einstein Mat. Whenever the star lights up and plays music he loves it! He also loves grabbing onto the circle with the colored beads on it. He now can get a pretty strong grip on it. We love watching him become facinated with the world around him!

Messy Baby!
Sawyer started eating cereal this week! What a mess! LOL! Below are pictures from his first two feedings. His very first feeding was done by Mommy, in the picture with the red bib. His second feeding was done by Daddy, in the picture with the blue bib. Can you tell which feeding was more messy???? LOL!

4 Month Old Doctor Visit
Sawyer had his 4 Month Check Up today with Dr. Day. He had to get 4 shots, which was very sad! He screamed and cried! But before he got his shots, he was acting so silly when Dr. Day was doing his check up! He was laughing non-stop at Dr. Day! He must have thought he was really funny! His check up went great. He has gained exactly 3 pounds since he last visit 2 months ago. He is now 12.6 pounds. He is still in the 10th percentile for his weight, meaning out of 100 kids, 90 of them weigh more than him. He has grown exactly 2 inches since his last visit also, putting him at 24 1/2 inches long. He is still in the 30th percentile for his height. Dr. Day said his weight gain and growth are perfect since he stayed exactly in his percentile. He is doing everything right on track! He is now ready to start having some rice cereal along with his normal nursing schedule. The doctor said he could start baby foods now, but since Mommy had many food allergies as a child, we decided that we would wait until his 6 month check up before starting him on those. We will just start the rice cereal for now. I am thankful for having such a healthy and happy baby!

Sawyer's Dedication
Today Sawyer is 4 months old. Today was also the day we had him dedicated at our church. It was so wonderful. I was afraid he might start fussing when we got up there, but the minute we got down to the front of the church, he just started smiling and laughing so big! The whole congregation just kept laughing because he was so adorable! Our pastor talked and prayed and the whole time Sawyer was just grinning ear to ear and giggling. I was so happy that he showed everyone what a happy baby he is. He really is such a wonderful baby. Many of our family members were in attendance for the dedication. Sawyers's Nana and Papa Heberlein, Grandma and Grandpa Switzer, Uncle Evan, Great-Grandmother Gigi and Ki Arledge, Great-Uncle Richard and Great-Aunt Sherry Muir, and Cousins Thomas, Elizabeth, Grace, Bella & Julia Muir.
It was a wonderful moment, one that I will never forget!
