Sawyer meets Shamu

This past weekend, we took a short family vacation down to San Antonio to go to Sea World. It was a great trip and I dont think any of us wanted to come home!
Sawyer did a great job in the car on the way there.

When we got to our hotel , we decided to do some exploring. We found a playground at the hotel that was perfect for Sawyer!

Sawyer went down the slide with Daddy.

After playing on the playground, we decided to take a dip in the pool. It was great!

Sawyer did lots of splashing!

Mommy and Sawyer had a great time swimming.

Saturday morning, we woke up and enjoyed the breakfast buffet before heading off to Sea World. Sawyer definately has a yogurt mustache going on here!

The first thing we did was get some fish to feed the dolphins. It was awesome!

Sawyer was very interested in the dolphins.

They came right up to us!

Mommy fed the dolphins 2 fish and Sawyer fed the dolphins 2 fish. Daddy held Sawyer to make sure he didnt fall in!

Action shot of Sawyer throwing the fish to the dolphin!

Next, we visited the penquins. Sawyer LOVED the penquins.

They brought this penquin out to show everyone. Sawyer screamed out, "I need him!". He was reaching out his arms for the penquin and the penquin stopped to look right at him! They were about the same size!

After the penquins, we went to see the Sea Lions. They were really neat.

Sawyer got to get up close by looking through a glass window that was the perfect height for his stroller.
After the Sea Lions, we went to see SHAMU! I did not get any pictures of the show, I am sad to say. We sat in the "splash zone" and I was afraid our camera would get wet and ruined. Sawyer LOVED the Shamu show. His eyes were glued to the whales for the entire show. He clapped his hands when they did tricks. He LOVED it! A funny story was that our section did not get splashed during the show. After the show had just ended, one of the whale trainers came right up to us and gave the whale the cue to splash. Well, Sawyer was not expecting to get hit with cold, hard water. He got drenched and his face crumpled up and he started bawling!!! We were laughing hysterically and so were the people around us! He had loved the show so much, but he was just not expecting that splash!
Our family picture at Sea World. This is in the afternoon when we are all hot and sweaty! We had a great trip!

Aquarium Fun!

Last Friday, Sawyer got to visit the Dallas World Aquarium with Mommy. Tucker and Kinsey went with us! It was a fun day!

The boys had lots of fun together!

In the picture above, Sawyer is feeding a bird a blueberry! How cool!

The boys were not very cooperative with posing for pictures. There was too much to look at!

The manatee was awesome! It came right up to the glass, it was amazing!

Tiny Artist

Sawyer spent the afternoon painting and had a great time!
Thank you Tucker for the brand new paints and paintbrushes for my birthday gift!

What a beautiful picture he painted!

The great thing about this paint is that it is washable!

This is my favorite picture. I love seeing his imagination. When we asked him what he was painting, he said "the sky". I love my little artist!

Happy Birthday Sawyer!

Sawyer had his big Sesame Street Birthday Party on Saturday! Lots of friends and family came to celebrate his 2nd Birthday and a great time was had by all!
Sawyer's cake. I was so happy with how it turned out. It was awesome!

The whole house was decorated for the party.

Favors for all of Sawyer's friends.

Sawyer loved the big character balloons that lined the sidewalk up to the front door.

Checking them out himself.

Admiring the big Elmo balloon.

Hugging the Elmo balloon.

Checking out the huge "cookie tree" on the front porch.

Telling us what it is.

Trying to grab a cookie of course.

I love this picture, the expression on his face is so cute.

We had an Elmo bounce house in the backyard. It rained pretty hard that day, but that didnt stop the kids from bouncing!

My sweet birthday boy.

Tucker and Sawyer bouncing. The expressions on their faces are priceless!

Yes this giant thing fit in our backyard.

All of kids enjoyed the bounce house.

Sawyer got very excited when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. He clapped when they were done singing.

Happy Birthday Sawyer!

Blowing out the candles

Sawyer enjoyed all the attention

Sawyer with both Great-Grandparents.

Enjoying some yummy cake and ice-cream!

We had a fishing game on the backyard deck but since it rained so hard, we didnt think the kids would be able to play. However, they didnt mind getting wet and even got in the fishing pool!

Sawyer and Wilson doing some fishing.

Sawyer enjoyed opening all of the wonderful presents from his friends and family. Sawyer got tired of opening presents about halfway through so Tucker helped him out!

Sawyer got an easel from Nana and Papa. Sawyer, Tucker and Cassidy really enjoyed playing with it!

Cassidy kept trying to kiss Sawyer. She finally laid on one him and he pushed her away! She is such a sweetheart!

Sawyer and Tucker had so much fun together. They were screaming and dancing and having so much fun!

One of the gifts from Mommy and Daddy was a table and chairs that Sawyer can use for coloring, drawing pictures, or anything he wants!

Coloring a masterpiece.

Sawyer in his Elmo party hat.

The kids loved those party blower things! I did that as a last minute addition to their party favors and they were a hit!

Is he wearing enough Elmo?
Happy 2nd Birthday Sawyer!
