Happy 4th of July!

Sawyer had a fun-filled 4th of July. Saturday he got to spend the day with Nana & Papa, and Sunday he got to go to the lakehouse to see Grandma & Grandpa and all of his cousins. He had so much fun!

Here he is showing Mommy a rock he found.

He was definately dressed in patriotic gear. Thank you to Nana for the shorts and Grandma for the shirt!

Sweet Sawyer.

We took Sawyer in the lake to swim. He did not want to swim in the lake this time. He has done it before and loved it. The waves were bigger this time and he was not happy. So we only took a short swim!

Later in the night, Daddy shot of fireworks from the dock. Sawyer stayed up in the house and watched through the windows. The first "boom" he heard he got very scared and tried to hide by me. But after that, he was okay, and liked watching the fireworks. He kept saying "It's okay". During one of the bigger fireworks, he said "stars!". Towards the end, I brought Sawyer outside to take him to the car. A few loud fireworks went off and he got very scared, he was clinging to me for dear life! I think he is just still a little bit too young. He still had fun though, he got to play with some glow sticks instead of sparklers, and he thought they were great!
We hope you had a fun-filled 4th of July!
