Sawyer meets Shamu

This past weekend, we took a short family vacation down to San Antonio to go to Sea World. It was a great trip and I dont think any of us wanted to come home!
Sawyer did a great job in the car on the way there.

When we got to our hotel , we decided to do some exploring. We found a playground at the hotel that was perfect for Sawyer!

Sawyer went down the slide with Daddy.

After playing on the playground, we decided to take a dip in the pool. It was great!

Sawyer did lots of splashing!

Mommy and Sawyer had a great time swimming.

Saturday morning, we woke up and enjoyed the breakfast buffet before heading off to Sea World. Sawyer definately has a yogurt mustache going on here!

The first thing we did was get some fish to feed the dolphins. It was awesome!

Sawyer was very interested in the dolphins.

They came right up to us!

Mommy fed the dolphins 2 fish and Sawyer fed the dolphins 2 fish. Daddy held Sawyer to make sure he didnt fall in!

Action shot of Sawyer throwing the fish to the dolphin!

Next, we visited the penquins. Sawyer LOVED the penquins.

They brought this penquin out to show everyone. Sawyer screamed out, "I need him!". He was reaching out his arms for the penquin and the penquin stopped to look right at him! They were about the same size!

After the penquins, we went to see the Sea Lions. They were really neat.

Sawyer got to get up close by looking through a glass window that was the perfect height for his stroller.
After the Sea Lions, we went to see SHAMU! I did not get any pictures of the show, I am sad to say. We sat in the "splash zone" and I was afraid our camera would get wet and ruined. Sawyer LOVED the Shamu show. His eyes were glued to the whales for the entire show. He clapped his hands when they did tricks. He LOVED it! A funny story was that our section did not get splashed during the show. After the show had just ended, one of the whale trainers came right up to us and gave the whale the cue to splash. Well, Sawyer was not expecting to get hit with cold, hard water. He got drenched and his face crumpled up and he started bawling!!! We were laughing hysterically and so were the people around us! He had loved the show so much, but he was just not expecting that splash!
Our family picture at Sea World. This is in the afternoon when we are all hot and sweaty! We had a great trip!
