Not Going Bonkers today

Yesterday, Kinsey & I decided to take Sawyer and Tucker to a place called "Going Bonkers" in Lewisville. Her friend had taken her 1 -year old there and said it was great. So, we decided to try it out! To make a long story short, we only stayed at Going Bonkers for a grand total of about 20 minutes. It was way too loud, crowded and crazy for our boys. We decided we will take them back there when they are 3 or 4 years old. To salvage the play date, we went back to Kinsey & Tuckers house and let the boys play. They had a blast! Probably the most fun they have ever had playing together. Lots of laughter was had by all. It turned into a great day! Sawyer and Tucker looking out the door at Tuckers doggie, Maui.

Maui had to stay outside the door because Sawyer was chasing her and she ran and hid behind the couch! Then Sawyer tried to go behind the couch! So Maui had to stay outside.

The boys played with all of Tucker's toys. At one point they had a little band going with a piano, guitar and drums!

Thanks Kinsey and Tucker for having us over! It was so much fun!!!!

A visit to Dr Day

Sawyer visited Dr Day this morning for his one-year check up. Sawyer did very well. He now weighs 21 pounds, which puts him in the 25th percentile for weight. He is now 30 inches long, which puts him in the 55th percentile for height. He is doing perfectly! Sawyer had to get several shots today, and he cried very loudly. But he calmed down soon afterwards. Sawyer was a happy baby and showed off his baby babbling for all of the nurses. But again, when Dr Day came into the room, Sawyer got stonefaced. He would not crack a smile. He just stared at him. After the doctors visit, we made a trip to Babies R Us to buy Sawyer a big-boy carseat. Dr Day said it is time for Sawyer to get a forward facing seat. We got Sawyer a really nice carseat. Mommy wants to know why all the girl car seats are so much prettier than the boy ones? They need to make more stylish seats for boys! We will post pictures of Sawyer in his new carseat very soon!

Galveston Trip

Sawyer took his first big trip this past week to Galveston, Texas. Mommy's dancers were attending Showstoppers MidAmerica Nationals, so Sawyer and Daddy decided to come along for the week! Sawyer had a great time. Here are some pictures from his big trip.
Sawyer on his first night in Galveston, in the hotel room.

He liked having a new place to explore!

Eating dinner in the hotel restaurant on our first night (Tuesday).

Wednesday, we visited the Aquarium at Moody Gardens. There were lots of neat things to see.

Sawyer looking at some penquins!

Sawyer looking at a scary fish/shark

Although he did look at alot of the fish, Sawyer was more into "people watching" rather than "fish watching".

A scary friend swam right up to visit Sawyer.

Sawyer definately saw that one.

Brian and Sawyer. They were good buddies on the trip.

Thursday was Sawyers actual birthday. He turned 1 year old! We celebrated by having dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in Galveston.

Sawyer and Taya, one of my Petite Company Dancers

The Petites all love Sawyer. They got him some birthday gifts, it was so sweet!

I dont think Sawyer will have any trouble meeting any pretty girls in his lifetime.

They helped him open his gifts
