Still catching up from January.......something very exciting happened to Savannah! She auditioned for a JCPenney print ad and she booked it! It is for their Spring Campaign and it was very exciting! Here are some pics I just snapped from my phone from on-set.

I know it is hard to see, but she is being held by the female model, and she is wearing a bright pink tutu! They changed her outfit about 10 times, so I have no idea what she will actually be wearing in the ad!

The agency contacted me after the shoot, and said the client (JCPenney) was very happy with Savannah. They want both her and Sawyer to come in for an interview to have them officially represent them! So, we will see what happens!

Waaaaaay behind

So I wondered how long after having two kids it would take for me to be too busy to update this blog regularly! Answer: about 6 months! I feel terrible about not posting as often as I normally do, but my hands are very full right now with both my babies! I know I completely missed January, so here is a VERY BRIEF recap of January. I promise to blog more often from now on!

January brought a milestone for Savannah.....she got to start sitting in the high chair and got to begin eating baby food! She loves sitting in the kitchen with us and LOVES to eat. She rarely gives me a hard time with any food, and always wants more when she is done! She did gag on the peas the first time she ate them, which was actually pretty funny! She kept gagging, but that didnt stop her from wanting more!

A look down memory lane.....Sawyer also began sitting in the high chair at 6 months old! Its funny that she is so much bigger than he was, but he looks bigger to me in pictures!

Savannah also loves sitting in her Bumbo seat!

Sawyer has fun wherever he goes. He was so happy when he went to Lowes with Mommy and got to drive an awesome shopping cart!

He kept yelling, Beep Beep, out of the way! Coming through! It was so cute!

Savannah is our sweet girl, who is always smiling!

She loves to talk and says "ba ba ba ba" all the time!

Sports Clips is our place of choice for Sawyer's haircuts now, and everyone there loves him! He is so good and doesnt fuss at all about getting his haircut! He laughs when the razor comes out because he says it tickles!

That was just a brief look at our January. I promise to keep this updated more often! Valentine's day is right around the corner! We cant wait!

Merry Christmas from the Switzers! I have been terrible about blogging over the last few weeks, so I am going to post pictures from the last few days of Christmas celebrations, and then I will go back later this week and post some pictures of our December fun and activities!

Friday night, we had a family dinner at Nana and Papa Heberlein's house to celebrate Christmas with our extended family!

Saturday, we spent the day at Nana and Papa Heberlein's house for Christmas Eve. We had a great time just relaxing, eating and opening gifts.

After the kids got baths and jammies on, we got to open some presents!

Santa came to our house that night!

He brought Sawyer a Woody and Jesse doll and a giant activity pad with stickers and activities. He also filled his stocking with Legos, books and other fun things.

Santa brought Savannah a baby doll and filled her stocking with some tights, a sun hat, a pink sock monkey, and an Abby Cadaby book.

Sawyer was SO HAPPY to finally have a big Jesse and Woody to go with his big Buzz.

Sunday, after we opened presents at our house, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Switzer's house for the day.

Last weekend, Sawyer invited his friends over for a Christmas Cookie Decorating Party!

Mommy set everything up during his nap!

When he woke up, he was VERY excited to run to the kitchen and see everything!

Sawyer was very happy when his friends all arrived and they got to start decorating cookies!

They all had so much fun. We attempted a picture of all 6 of them, which was tough!

We are so glad everyone could come and have some Christmas fun together!

It was a special day and I am thankful for our church.

The North Pole Express!

Friday night, Sawyer and Tucker got to take a ride on the North Pole Express! This is their 2nd annual trip to the North Pole together, and they had so much fun!

They always wear matching jammies, which I love!

Before the train ride, we had to check out all of the trains and fun things to do.

We got to see a fun Christmas show, before boarding the train. Sawyer had fun dancing and singing to lots of Christmas songs!

Then it was finally time to get on the train! One of the best parts is when you are walking up to the train, it is always snowing! So magical! Its hard to get your camera out though! The boys found their seat and watched out the window as the train left the station!

Of course, the conductor came by to check our tickets. They got theirs punched, just like in the movie!

Probably the most memorable part of the trip was when Santa came by. Sawyer has already seen Santa this year and was completely fine sitting in his lap and talking to him. However, this time he decided he was afraid and decided to hide under the seat until he left the train car. He did the same thing again when Mrs. Claus came by. When I asked him about it later, he told me he was just playing "hide and seek" with Santa, but I know he was really scared, so I am not sure what that was all about! Kinsey and I were bursting out laughing, the whole scene was very comical! Santa did see Sawyer under the seat and reached under and gave him a silver bell.

There was lots of singing and fun on our train ride. Sawyer even spoke into the microphone and said what he wanted for Christmas (a new Woody and Jessie)

It was a great night and we cant wait to do it again next year!

Hello, Santa!

The countdown to Christmas is finally here! Christmas is my favorite time of year and I love sharing that with my kids. We put up our Christmas tree and Sawyer loved helping!

He has the all-important job of putting the star on the top of the tree. He takes his job very seriously!

Of course, he needs help from Daddy to get all the way up there!

Saturday, we took a trip to the mall to see Santa! Savannah got all dressed up in her Christmas gear to meet him.

Sawyer was very excited to see Santa. Although, when he finally did see him, he got a little but shy, and tried to hid from him, which he now tells us he was "just playing hide and seek with Santa", lol. He sat on his lap with no problem and talked to him and told him what he wanted and what he wanted him to bring Savannah. She had no clue what was going on and was totally fine with sitting on Santa's lap. Its hard to get a 3 1/2 year old and a 5 month old to both look at the camera and smile while sitting on Santa's lap, so this was the best we got!

We have some fun Christmas activities coming up, and we cant wait!

Happy Thankgiving from Sawyer and Savannah! We had a great Thanksgiving Day. We hosted Thanksgiving at our house again, and had Nana & Papa Heberlein, Grandma & Grandpa Switzer, Uncle Chris & Uncle Evan at our house to celebrate! I cooked the turkey again and it turned out great! It was my 2nd year in a row to cook the turkey and its a tradition I think we will continue! Here are a few pictures from the day!

November Fun

November has been a crazy, busy month! Here are LOTS of pics from the last few weeks!

The first weekend of November, Savannah went with Mommy to her dance convention. Savannah's first dance convention!

Of course, she got lots of ooohs and aaaaahs from all the dancer girls and their moms!

She was such a good girl the whole weekend and loved watching all of the dancers!

Now that the weather is a bit cooler, it was time to break out some of our fall clothes! Savannah wore her jeans for the first time!

We also got out the bouncer because Savannah is finally big enough for it! Sawyer and Mommy got it all cleaned up and had fun watching Savannah bounce and play!

This used to be Sawyer's bouncer, so he had fun recognizing all of the toys on it. His favorite was the sun and he makes sure to show Savannah the sun whenever he can. In these pictures, he is singing "You are my sunshine" to her. SO SWEET!

We are back to our regular schedule at church now, so its fun dressing Savannah up every Sunday in her sweet little dresses. Here she is ready for church one morning!

Sawyer got to deliver our Christmas Box to church to help a needy child somewhere far away. We had fun filling the box and he was so cute when he delivered it!

Last Saturday, Sawyer got to go to another UNT game! Mommy and Savannah stayed home, but she still dressed up in her Mean Green gear to cheer on the team!

Farm Fun

I am WAY BEHIND on my blogging! I just cant seem to find the time to sit down at the computer and get everything updated on here! So sorry! A few weeks ago, Sawyer spent the day out at the Switzer Farm. He had a great time as always, helping Grandpa Chet with all of the farm work.

Catching Up!

I am way behind on my blogging! There is not much free time on my hands with 2 little ones! So, look for several posts to get us caught up!

A few weekends ago, we went to the UNT game and sat with Kinsey, Brent, Tucker & Trace! Sawyer and Tucker had so much fun together. They are such sweet friends!

We have finally made it back to church on Sundays. Since Savannah is still nursing, its hard for us to leave her in the nursery for a long period of time. She did great though, and they didnt have to page me until right near the end of service! Sawyer had a great time in the 3-year old class. When I went to nurse Savannah, I could hear him in his classroom across the hall yelling "Hop, hop, hop!" I am guessing he was hopping around! Ha!

The quilt ministry at our church made Savannah a beautiful quilt and they gave it to us on Sunday!

It is so special!

Later that night, Sawyer and Savannah got dressed up to attend the "Trunk or Treat" at our church. Sawyer wanted to be a skeleton this year, and instead of trying to change his mind to something I wanted him to be, I just went with what he wanted. I have to say, he was a pretty cute little skeleton!

On our way to church, we made a quick stop at Gigi's so she could see the kids in their costumes.

Once we got to the church, Sawyers favorite thing was definately the bounce house! Of course!

Then the next night, Monday, was Halloween. Sawyer got dressed up again and got to go Trick or Treating in our neighborhood! He did a great job of saying "Trick or Treat!" at each house and then saying "Thank You!" every time!

She loved wearing her little pumpkin Halloween socks! She kept trying to grab them!

For fun, here is Sawyer in his Halloween costumes! Its crazy to see how much he has changed in each picture! He is getting so big and I am so proud of him!

Growing Kids!

We definately have some growing kids! Here they are over the last couple of weeks!

Savannah's sweet smiles bring joy to us every day!

Sawyer loves to play all day long, every day.

He has developed such a fun personality. He makes me laugh all the time!

On this day, I let Sawyer pick out what he wanted Savannah to wear. He chose this pink overalls outfit that used to belong to me when I was a little girl!

I advised him against the pink "puff", but he insisted!

Good job Sawyer! :)

Monday, Savannah had her 4 month visit with Dr. Day at Cooks Childrens. She was all smiles! She didnt know she would be getting shots!!

At 4 months, she is now 25 inches tall (77th percentile) and 15 lbs (79th percentile)! Much different from her big brother who only weighed 12.6 lbs when he was 4 months!

I love dressing her up in all her sweet little clothes! Pretty in Pink!

Tuesday, Sawyer got to visit the SeaLife Aquarium in Grapevine! It was pretty neat!

Every day is a different adventure. On this particular morning, Sawyer said "Mama, lets lay Savannah on a blanket and watcher her do baby things". So, I did and a few minutes later, this is what I saw! I said "Sawyer, what is on her head?" "Just my sticky purple salamander, mama!" Alrighty then!

The last couple of days have been COLD! Perfect time for a little hat and some boots!

This morning, Savannah got her first taste of Rice Cereal. Sawyer insisted on helping!

Saturday night we got to go to the UNT Game at Apogee Stadium! It was so much fun!

Monday, Aaron had the day off work for Columbus Day, so we spent the day cheering on the Rangers and then took a trip to LegoLand at Grapevine Mills Mall!

LegoLand was a complete success. I would definately recommend it. I did snap a few pics during our journey. Here, Sawyer is waiting for the elevator doors to open......who knows what is inside the Lego factory?

It was a crazy kooky scientist who gave us a private tour of how they actually make legos!

Sawyer got to help!

Once inside, there were so many things to do. First, Sawyer rode a crazy ride with Daddy where you had to shoot the bad guys with laser guns. I stayed with Savannah while they rode the ride. Sawyer loved it! Next, Mommy and Sawyer went to a 4D Lego movie! Here is Sawyer with his 4D glasses!

Next, we ventured into the MiniLand, where we found lots of awesome Lego creations!

Next we moved into an area where there were just tons and tons of Legos that you could do anything you wanted with!

What is more fun than a pit of Legos?

They had stations where you could build things and then press a button to make the platform shake to see if your building would hold up in an earthquake. Pretty cool!

Mommy and Sawyer did ride another ride, but we didnt get any pictures of that. At the end, you exit through the Lego store, where they have anything your Lego mind can imagine! I thought the wall of legos was pretty cool!

After LegoLand, we ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe, one of Sawyer's favorites. What a fun way to spend Columbus Day!

It's October

Can you believe that it is already October? We are ready for the cooler temperatures and all of the fun things that come with Fall! Here is what we have been up to the last couple of weeks!

Saturday, we went for a little play date at Tucker and Trace's house! Savannah and Trace had fun together!

Sawyer got to paint his very own pumpkin bag with Tucker and Bella! So fun!

Kinsey set up a "skeleton bone" hunt for the big kids in the backyard!

They had so much fun together!

Last weekend, Sawyer got to go to another UNT game! What a lucky boy!

He loved his new Scrappy doll!

Savannah has been getting bigger every day!

She is such a little blessing in our lives!

As a special treat, Mommy and Sawyer took a trip to see the Lion King 3D at the Movie Theater!

He loved the popcorn of course!

Daddy has been very busy with coaching lately, so we have been trying to bring him lunch at school whenever we can, so we can see him! We went Friday, the first day of the Rangers playoffs series! I dressed both kids in their Rangers gear!

Busy Busy

We have been very busy with 2 kids in our house! So I have not had much time to blog here! Here is a recap of the last couple of weeks!

Sawyer and Daddy went to the UNT game! It was the first ever game in the brand new Apogee Stadium! He loved it and lasted the entire game!

We did not think Savannah's tiny ears could handle the loud game, so she and Mommy stayed home. But that didn't stop her from dressing up in her UNT gear to support the team!

Since the weather has slightly cooled off, we have been able to spend a little more time outside. Here are Sawyer and Savannah playing on the back porch!

We are so glad that it is September and that we are getting some cooler weather. Not that its really cool, but anything under 100 degrees feels great right now!

We visited Daddy at his school today and brought him lunch! Sawyer had a fun time running in the halls and running around Daddy's classroom!

It's Swim Time!

It was finally cool enough today to take Savannah in the swimming pool. It has just been too hot to take an infant outside this summer. But today, I decided to let her take her first swim.

She loved it! She smiled and laughed and kicked her legs! I hope she is a happy water baby!

Sawyer is becoming a great swimmer. He can swim all around the pool with his puddle-jumper floaties. He has so much fun in the water!

Too bad this summer has been so hot, we have not been able to swim as much as we have wanted! But today was a fun day!

2 month Check Up

This morning Savannah had her 2 month check up with Dr. Day. The picture below is at the doctor, when she was all smiles! She had to get 3 shots in her legs and 1 oral vaccine, and I have never seen her cry so loud! She cried the big crocodile tears! Poor Savannah!

She weighed in at 12 pounds (78percentile), 22 1/2 inches (51percentile) and her head measures 39 1/2 cm(66percentile). I was shocked that she weighs 12 pounds but Dr. Day is very happy with it! She is doing so great!

He did diagnose her with Reflux, but he does not want to treat her with medication. We are going to wait and see if it clears up as she grows and matures. We are hoping it gets better!

She is such a pretty princess!

Growing So Fast

Today, Savannah is 7 weeks old. She is growing so fast! Sawyer is becoming a great big brother. He is learning how to be gentle with her and he loves to hug and kiss her all the time. When he wakes up in the morning, the first thing he asks is "where is the baby?" It melts my heart to see them together and I love my 2 babies more than anything in the world!

Well, we are settling into our new "normal" life, as a family of four. I dont really know what normal means, but we are getting through each day the best we can! I will be happy when I am able to get some more sleep, which I know will EVENTUALLY come.

Sawyer got his first "black eye", and Im not even sure how he got it! He was jumping on his bed while I was trying to change the sheets and although he was flailing around while jumping, I did not see him "bump" anything too hard, and he never cried......just all of a sudden there was a bruise on his cheek and it slowly made its way up to his eye. I am told this is typical of 3 year old boys, but I dont like seeing my baby this way!

Maybe it was Savannah who just decided to reach up and punch him in the eye? Haha, she looks much to innocent for that! :)

One Month Old

Today Savannah is one month old! Here are her newborn pictures that we took when she was 1 1/2 weeks old. Our sweet friend, Heidi Miller, came to out home to take these pictures of Savannah. Birthday Cowboy and Trip to the Coast!

Things have been extremely busy the last few weeks and I have been terrible about updating this blog! Sawyer celebrated his 3rd birthday on Saturday, July 9th. He had a Cowboy-themed birthday party! Here are a few pictures from the day. I have tons more on Facebook, but here are a few of my favorites.

Then on Tuesday, we drove down to Galveston, where Lifesong was competing at the Showstoppers Mid-America National Dance Competition. We stayed at Moody Gardens for 6 days and 5 nights. That sure was interesting with a 3 week old baby and a wild 3 year old! Luckily, we found lots of things to do to keep everyone entertained!

We definately had to take a visit to eat at the Rainforest Cafe!

Daddy took Sawyer to the Texas Flight Museum, where he got to see lots of neat airplanes!

We also took a trip to the Aquarium. Sawyer enjoyed it, but for some reason he was scared of some of the bigger tanks and would not look at the neat things swimming inside!

He did get to see a really cool octopus though!

Mommy and Sawyer went to the 4D theatre at the hotel and saw the Dora and Diego movie! We got to wear neat 3D glasses (which were too big for Sawyer, so it was difficult to keep them on him!) and we got splashed with water and wind and got real bubbles blown at us during the movie! It was pretty cool!

We did find time to go to the beach, but it was raining the day we went, so we just dipped our feet in the water. It was still fun though!

Savannah did not get to get out of her stroller! I think she slept through most everything!

After the beach, we headed to The Strand, which is the downtown, historic part of Galveston. We went in several shops and Sawyer rode a dolphin, lol! Yes, he is not wearing pants. After the beach, he was all wet and wanted his pants off. So we let him ride around the stroller in his diaper with a towel over his legs and no shoes. It wasnt a big deal, but after I took this picture, I was thinking, he's not wearing any pants, lol!

Our last night there, Sawyer wanted to go "dance" with some of Mommy's dance students outside. They had live music out by the pool and Sawyer is always surrounded by girls!

Sunday was the Live Broadcast of the Dance Championship Finals. Savannah wore her Lifesong onesie to cheer the girls on!

We have had a long, fun weekend of activities!

Sawyer started off the holiday weekend on Friday by visiting his Great-Grandmother Gigi. He helped her water her plants and flowers!

Saturday, we spent the day at the Switzer Lakehouse.

Savannah was all dressed up in her 4th of July outfit.

Sawyer got one of his early birthday presents, a remote control car! He was definately into playing with it!

After lunch and some playtime, it was time for Sawyer to have some fun in the lake!

After an outfit change, Savannah got snuggled up for an afternoon nap.

Sunday, we went to Nana and Papa Heberlein's house to visit with family from out of town!

Monday morning, Sawyer got up early to take a quick ride in the 4th of July Parade at Robson Ranch! He looked adorable with his flag covered helmet!

Papa drove Sawyer in the golf cart and Sawyer held his pinwheel and waved to everyone. He got to see firetrucks, police cars, and lots of neat things! There were even some bi-planes that flew overhead!

One Week

Today Savannah is one week old! Also, Sawyer has now been a big brother for one week, and we have been parents of not just one, but two children for a week now!

Savannah is doing very well. She sleeps most of the day, and is eating about every 2 hours. Nighttime is a bit harder, she has a hard time sleeping for long periods of time, but has gotten slightly better each night. She has about a 4 hour stretch each night where she is wide awake, fussy, and does not want to sleep. Then, the other times that she is able to fall asleep, she wakes up easily fussing and wanting to eat more frequently during the night. So, the nights have been hard, but we know it will get better. Mommy is very tired, but hanging in there! I am very thankful to have 2 wonderful children!

5 Days Old!

Savannah is 5 Days Old! She has her first pediatrician appointment later today with Dr Day. Things are going normally......she loves to sleep most of the day and stay up most of the night! LOL! Hopefully that will change soon!

Savannah Rose Switzer arrived Wednesday morning, June 22nd, 2011 at 9:58am!

She weighed 7 lbs 5 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is healthy, beautiful and perfect!

I have lots of pictures from the special day. These are just a few of my favorites.

Sawyer is being a great big-brother. He says "I wuv her" several times a day and wants to "help" Mommy take care of Savannah.

Tomorrow we will head to the hospital early in the morning to be induced. So, Savannah Rose should be arriving tomorrow. I am so excited! I am also sad in a way, if that makes sense. I am so attached to Sawyer and it is hard for me to imagine loving another child except him. I hope that does not sound bad, its just for the past 3 years I have poured all of my love into him and its difficult to imagine that I will have the same love for her, even though I know I will! I already love her! The last few days I have been a little weepy thinking about my time with Sawyer and how he will no longer be my "only". He is such the perfect little boy. He fills my heart with joy that I never knew I could have. I know Savannah will be the perfect little girl. I cannot wait to meet her. There are just alot of emotions and anticipation. God has blessed me with the most loving little boy in the world and I am so thankful. I know the blessings will just double when my little girl gets here. We will keep everyone posted and will post pictures when we get them. Pray I can get some sleep tonight before the big day tomorrow!

Still Waiting.......

Well, we are still waiting on baby Savannah to arrive. We actually went to the hospital on Monday night because I was having pretty bad contractions about 3-5 minutes apart. However, when I got there, they checked me and I was still only dilated about 3cm. They monitored me for a couple of hours, and then sent me home. So.....we have been at home waiting some more! I am scheduled to be induced on Wednesday at 6am, so that is the longest we will have to wait to meet our sweet little princess. However, since I have been having contractions for so long now, I cannot imagine that she would wait that long to make her entrance! I feel like she should have already been here by now! Here are some pictures of her finished nursery. It turned out perfectly and I am so happy with it. Now the only thing missing is our sweet girl!

As you can see, her closet is full and her bow drawer is exploding! :)

Anxiously Waiting

We are anxiously waiting for baby Savannah to arrive. We officially have 10 days until her actual due date, but at last Monday's check up (6 days ago) I was already dilated 3cm and 50% effaced, so the doctor said I probably would not make it to my actual due date. On Wednesday night, we were sure we would end up in the hospital that night, and have felt that way each night, but my contractions have not been close enough together to justify going to the hospital quite yet. She is head-down and has definately dropped very low and is getting ready to make her appearance. We are very ready for her to be here!

Busy Month!

Sawyer has been having lots of fun, as always! As we near the arrival of his baby sister, Savannah, we have been trying to do lots of fun things with Sawyer.

We repainted our deck in the backyard, and set up Sawyer's turtle sandbox. He has been having so much fun playing in the sand!

Recently, Sawyer started getting his haircut at Sport Clips. I was not happy with the other place I was taking him. Sawyer was such a big boy sitting in the chair, while getting his haircut. I cannot believe how grown-up he is!

Sawyer got to enjoy a trip to the zoo! He had a great time and loves to talk about the animals.

Sawyer also loves going to the park! He loves to be outside.

Saturday, Sawyer got to see his cousins at his cousin Grace's birthday party. He had a blast playing the Wii!

Saturday, Sawyer got to celebrate his best buddy Tucker's 3rd birthday with a fireman party at the firestation! How fun!

The best part was that Sawyer got to "drive" the firetruck and he even got to turn on the firetruck flashing lights! He thought this was amazing!

We hope you had a very Happy Easter! Sawyer had a fun weekend filled with lots of Easter celebration! Saturday, we went to Nana and Papa Heberlein's house for an egg hunt!

Sawyer has been having alot of fun this month!

Monday, we went to Kinsey and Tucker's house for a playdate with Tucker, Bella, Baby Trace and Baby Lily!

Sawyer had a blast! Here is their little "band" , they entertained all of us with their musical instruments!

This past weekend, Sawyer visited the farm at Grandma and Grandpa Switzer's house, where he got to play with some baby chicks!

Sawyer has been having so much fun lately. Monday, we went and registered for some things for baby Savannah and Sawyer came along. He got treated like a prince! Here he is sitting in the rolling chair, enjoying a tub of tootsie pops! I think he ate 3 of them! So spoiled!

After registering, Sawyer got to go to lunch with Nana and Mommy at Jason's Deli. The best part of the meal is the free ice cream of course! Yum!

Today, Sawyer and Mommy made some Spring Cookies. We made Eggs and Bunnies.

Sawyer helped spread the icing, he did a great job!

He also sprinkled some yummy sprinkles!

More Nursery Updates

We are busy preparing for baby Savannah's arrival and are continuing to get her nursery ready. Here is her beautiful rug! I love it!

Spring Break 2011

For Spring Break this year, we decided to do a "Staycation" instead of a Vacation, since plane ticket prices are through the roof! We decided on the Gaylord Texan Hotel, in Grapevine! Only about 30 minutes from our house! It was a great choice to spend a couple of nights there, and Sawyer had a blast at the "hotel" and is already asking to go back, lol. Here are some pictures from our trip!

The next day, we decided to do some more exploring. One of Sawyer's favorite things was riding the elevator! It was clear glass so you could see so many things when you went up and down!

Since it was March Madness, they had a little mini-Mavs court in the restaurant we ate at that night, Texas Station.

There was also a Gold Cowboy. Sawyer called him the "Gold Man" He was awesome! He sat so still like a statue, but was a real person. Sawyer waved to him, and he waved back. Sawyer was not so sure about him and would not get close to him. Of course, the next morning, he was asking to go see him lol.

March Already?

Can you believe it is already March? One month closer to the arrival of baby Savannah and one month closer to Sawyer becoming a big brother! Lots of things have been going on in our household lately. First, Savannah's crib was delivered!

Nursery Progress

We are definately on our way towards becoming a family of 4. We have decided on a name for our new baby girl and her name will be Savannah Rose Switzer! We are very excited. We went shopping for Savannah's nursery furniture and bedding this past week. Nana and Papa Heberlein (my parents) were super generous and bought Savannah's entire nursery furniture set and bedding. Below is a picture of her bedding. Its a soft pink, with white, cream & taupe. I dont have any pictures of her nursery furniture, but it is creme colored and is just gorgeous and perfect for our little princess.

Sawyer also is going from a crib to a big boy bed! Below is his big-boy bedding, isnt it great? Sawyer's Grandma and Grandpa Switzer are so sweet and are getting his bedding for him. Its so hard to believe that he is even old enough to be out of the crib!
We took apart Sawyer's crib this morning and transformed it into his big boy bed. He is VERY excited!!!

We are painting Savannah's room on Tuesday.......pink of course!!!!

We found out today that Baby #2 is a GIRL!!! We are thrilled! Sawyer is going to be such a great big brother. We will let you know when we decide on a name. This house needs some PINK!!!!

Snowed In!!!!!

We have been snowed in all week. Today was the first time we ventured out in the snow. Sawyer had a great time. He did a couple of face-plants and got snow on his face, which he did not like. But he did love playing outside in the snow. Can you believe this is Texas? It looks like Antartica!

Christmas Never Ends!

Thursday, we went to visit Sawyer's Great-Gran and some of his cousins for some more Christmas! Sawyer had a great time and had fun opening even more presents!

I think this was our last "Christmas" of the year. Next year will be even crazier with TWO kids!

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We had a wonderful time this year. We have been very busy! Here are some pictures from the last few weeks.

Sawyer painted some Christmas paintings.

We went to Dallas to meet Bill Simmons, the Sports Guy. Sawyer was our lucky charm because any one with kids got to go straight to the front of a 3 hour line! Here are Daddy and Sawyer meeting him.

Mommy and Sawyer decided to build a gingerbread house. Yes, we only decorated the roof. We ran out of icing to decorate the sides of the house! It was fun, but one of the roof walls caved in the next morning, so we will have to learn better for next year!

Sawyer loved to help put on all of the candy. He mostly loved eating the candy.

He was very excited, lol!

Sawyer also got to take a special visit to NorthPark mall to visit the Train Exhibit. He is very into trains right now! Here he is with Papa Heberlein.

On Christmas Eve, we spent some time at Nana and Papa Heberlein's house. Sawyer opened all of his presents from Nana and Papa. He loved all of his wonderful gifts!

He got a Buzz Lightyear tent! That sure was a hit! He loves this thing!

His big gift from Nana and Papa was a new BIKE! He got an awesome Buzz Lightyear bike that makes lots of cool sounds and have flashing lights.

Sawyer knew just what to do, but he feet are not quite long enough to reach the pedals! He doesnt care and just pushes himself around very fast with his feet on the ground!

He loves that bike!

After we went to bed at our house on Christmas Eve, Santa came! He brought Sawyer a big train table and train set!

Sawyer was VERY excited on Christmas morning and RAN into the family room to find his train table! He immediately starting playing trains!

We couldnt get him to open any other presents for a while because he was so into the train table.

Last night, we went to the Gaylord Texan to see the ICE! exhibit! It was a Charlie Brown theme this year, which Sawyer loves, so we thought we would give it a try! We went with our friends Emmitt and Lera Jackson and their sweet little girl Cassidy. The kids had fun together. It was really cold and it was hard to get two 2-year olds to be patient while we waited in line. But the ice sculptures were amazing! Daddy and Sawyer with their parkas on!
